No Resolutions!!

Happy New Year's to all!

I hope everyone enjoyed their holiday season. With all that we experienced towards the end of the year, I hope you were still able to keep the magic of the holiday season alive. I know we did! I'm really kind of sad that it's all over.

But now here we are, another new year and another chance to reset the clock and do it better. Do you have any New Year's resolutions? I do, a lot of them. Most of them are your quintessential resolutions; lose weight, pay off debt, eat better, yadda yadda yadda. And yes, those are some of mine too. But I have chosen to take a different approach this year. Resolutions scare me, actually it's just the word resolution. Somehow that word is a precursor to failure, for me anyway. To me it means that I am forcing myself to do something because it is a new year and society tells me I have to. It also means that I have a laundry list of things that I will try to change/do all at once. Too much change leads to failure...for me. Resolution also means that I have to divulge those resolutions.

Well this year I am taking a stand! I will not bore the world with all the things I want to do. I will simply say I have 1 resolution and 1 only and that is:

I resolve that in 2013, I will be better!

That definition of better is for me and for me alone. I know the things that I need to do to be better, to be happy, to be healthy and to live the life I want. It won't happen all at once, but it WILL happen this year.

Here's to being better!!

  1. I LOVE THIS! I'm going to adopt this for myself. Better. Yes, I'm in love.

  2. Are all resolutions about making something better? Better health, better weight, better finances, etc. Some of mine aren't even "better" related, but will make me a better person over all.
